Last night I had a dream where you were showing me around NYC. It was fairly long and vivid and when I woke up I continued to think about it as I mowed the lawn. perhaps it was because I was going through some old boxes and came across a picture of the old Bar Harlem crew in cowboy outfits. Then I decided to look you up on-line and found this blog. What was weird is you have a picture of your cat and in my dream you were pointing out cats in the neighborhood that you knew. So interesting that you are a historian now as well. I'm a fellow at the Syracuse University history department. I enjoyed reading your blog and seeing the beautiful photos you and Christine took of your new old house! I love the house - are you out in the country somewhere?? I especially loved the essay on your job experiences as I find a bit of myself in you. love robin
